Three Get IN Chicago board members – Exelon President and CEO Chris Crane, Loop Capital Chairman and CEO Jim Reynolds, and Allstate Insurance Chairman and CEO Tom Wilson – were recently featured on Chicago Tonight, where they provided an update on Get IN Chicago’s efforts.
“These communities have been allowed to decay for over a decade, and these youth have not had a lot of vibrant economic activity in their communities for that period of time,” said Reynolds. “This isn’t something that happened four years ago, six years ago, or ten years ago. It’s been a steady decline. So when we look at how we can be engaged to combat it, it’s a multi-faceted approach. We invest in everything from job training to mentoring to social-emotional learning.”
